MHE 542 Mathematics for Elementary and Middle School Teachers

This course provides an opportunity for teacher candidates and practicing teachers to deepen their understanding of strategies and concepts as they occur in a comprehensive elementary (and middle school) mathematics curriculum. By developing mathematical reasoning and problem-solving strategies in numbers and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, probability, and data analysis, teacher candidates and practicing teachers will help their students succeed in mathematics.
