CIC 597 Capstone Seminar in Curriculum & Instruction

CIC 597 serves as the capstone seminar for M.Ed. and Ed.S. candidates in Curriculum & Instruction with Advanced Professional Specializations (CIAPS). The course integrates four core CIAPS themes: curriculum, ethics, dispositions, and professional identity. Candidates synthesize learning across their coursework, reflect critically on educator ethics, and examine their development of professional dispositions. They update professional identity documents, and compose an introspective narrative examining their holistic growth throughout the CIAPS program. This culminating experience provides summative assessment of candidates' achievements in their specialized areas while facilitating meaningful reflection on their evolution as educational professionals.
