CAP 605 Professional Development and School Change
In this course, students explore the nature, dimensions, and contexts of professional development in educational settings. Examined within a framework of school change and reform efforts, students learn different instructional and organizational implications of professional development. Course readings, assignments, and activities provide students with knowledge of various methods and strategies for professional development and the skills to apply this knowledge in designing a plan for delivery and assessment in alignment with a problem of practice. This plan aims to bring about changes in instructional practice and create effective learning communities in schools/organizations.
