PSY 352 Children and Families under Stress
This course examines the social and environmental factors that contribute to stress in children and their families. Students will explore how psychological theories apply within the family context and analyze the effects of poverty, race, ethnicity, discrimination, violence, education, politics, and other stressors across individual, family, community, and societal levels. Through this lens, students will develop a deeper understanding of how systemic challenges influence family well-being and child development.
