MCH 462 Internship Extension in Maternal Child Health
This zero-credit extension course provides continued enrollment for students who have successfully completed all coursework requirements in MCH 460 Internship I and MCH 461 Internship II but have not yet completed the 300 supervised clinical practice hours required for the Pathway 2 sequence. Students remain under the supervision of their pre-approved clinical preceptor and the program's Clinical Coordinator while finishing their remaining hours at their secured internship site, by telehealth, or through simulated clinical practice as approved by LEAARC. Successful completion of all 300 hours, documented through the program's clinical hours log and competency verification, is required to satisfy Pathway 2 requirements and to graduate as an IBCLC® Candidate eligible to sit for the IBLCE certification examination.
