EDU 515 Human Learning and Development in Instructional Contexts
Candidates examine research-based principles, concepts, and educational practices supporting human learning and development in school contexts. Topics include cognitive and metacognitive learning, social-emotional learning, the role of context and culture in the learning process, effective classroom environments, assessment, teacher professional learning, building strong classroom and school communities and partnerships with diverse families and communities, and analyzing instructional strategies and their impact on diverse learners.
