SECF 581D Secondary Education Practicum

This course provides candidates with opportunities to engage in field experiences with teachers in their linked placement school classrooms. The minimum number of field experience hours is forty (40) and will follow a progression from observing in classrooms to teaching a class. Candidates culminate their practicum by planning five sequential lessons and teaching 3-5 of these sequential lessons in at least one class. Students will select one of the Methods courses related to their Concentration: Biological Sciences Concentration - 581A, English/Language Arts Concentration - 581B, Mathematics Concentration - 581C, Physical Sciences Concentration - 581D, Social Sciences Concentration - 581E, or World Languages Concentration - 581F.
