LAM 110 College Mathematics: Application of Mathematical Ideas

This course provides students with an opportunity to delve into applications of mathematical ideas important in their academic work, professional career, and personal lives. Students are introduced to the concepts of counting techniques and probability, game theory in the decision making process, and the mathematics of finance. The course emphasizes the connections between verbal, numeric, symbolic, and graphical approaches to problems. Pre-requisite(s): Placement or LAM100 with a grade of C or better; or permission of Program Chair or designate. Co-requisite(s): None. 5 quarter hours
