GEN 299 Career Development Seminar
The Career Development Seminar helps participants identify their assets and communicate their value to potential employers and contacts using discipline specific tools. During the class, students develop successful interview strategies, construct and refine their job portfolio, and apply constructive criticism in professional settings. A series of preparatory lessons and exercises culminate in a Career Day event where students can hone their skills with the help of volunteer professional mentors. Students then apply feedback by revising their job materials and publishing them on NLU Hire. Pre-requisite(s): None. Co-requisite(s): None. 0-2 quarter hours
