HIS 103 History Across the Globe
This World History survey course explores the key themes, people, events, and movements in human history, beginning with the Age of Encounter in the 15th century and finishing with globalization in the early 2000s. Using both primary and secondary sources, students will learn how to place social, political, cultural , intellectual, and economic developments in historical context, and make thematic connections across varying time periods and geographical regions. As students make these connections, they will gain a deeper understanding of how people and events in the past shape the world around us. Pre-requisite(s): None. Co-requisite(s): None. 5 quarter hours
