BUS 506 Ethics in the Workplace
This course examines the responsibilities of ethical leadership in the modern organization. Course content will underscore stakeholder rights and the organization’s and leadership duties to its stakeholders, both internal and external, as well as to society-at-large. Political, social, environmental, technological and cultural ethical challenges faced in the business environment are explored. Major areas of analysis include: employer and employee rights; advertising; environmental issues; and social responsibility. A variety of managerial reflection and decision-making techniques will be applied in the analysis and solving of ethical problems. Pre-requisite(s): None. Co-requisite(s): None. 3 semester hours
