MCH 223 Lifecycle Nutrition
This course examines the impact of nutrition on human health; the processes of digestion, absorption and metabolism; the nature and composition of carbohydrates, fats, proteins and micronutrients; the characteristics of a healthy diet and weight control. The student will also explore the role of nutrition in pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, and the adult life cycle. Students will have the opportunity to assess their diet and activity.
